Rules
Written by the Liberty Roleplay Executive Team and approved by the Rules Committee
All disciplinary action is at the discretion of the staff. Although we have recommended punishments located within this document they are allowed to change punishments based on the severity(s).
Ignorance is not an excuse! It is the players responsibility to know the rules. Claiming that they didn't know the rules isn't a valid excuse and will get you punished. Depending on your playtime this can result in the punishment severity going up.
Contesting punishments in-game or Discord after the staff members have issued is against the rules. You are allowed to talk with staff and we encourage it however if the staff member takes action against you that you believe is unjustified or biased, file a staff complaint on our discord. We have a designated Appeals Division within our Staff Team.
If you notice someone who doesn't know the rules make sure to inform them that they are required to follow them. If you see someone breaking rules in-game please contact a staff member by using "/Report ID Reason". You can also contact staff via Discord in #make-a-ticket. However this is discouraged.
GENERAL
1) You must speak and understand English at all times.
2) You must have a working microphone with no background noise and crystal clear output. Voice changers are acceptable, but they must be understandable and not overly loud, too quiet, or extremely high or low pitched.
3) Do not be toxic or breed toxicity of any kind.
4) The use of glitches, exploits, or hacks is prohibited. If you find a glitch or exploit, please notify the staff team through a bug report on Discord.
5) Abide by the Twitch Terms of Service (ToS), Twitch Community Guidelines, and Discord Terms of Service while in the city and Discord.
6) A maximum of 4 people in a single group can be involved in a hostile situation at any given time. You may have more on the roster, however, they can not partake in activities beyond the count of 4. Drug related activities are considered inherently hostile, and the rule of 4 applies to them. The exception to this rule is any Bank Robbery or Jewelry Heist where the limit becomes 6 people. Bank Trucks do not count as Bank Robberies. For any of these kinds of scenes no player may be outside the building or heist area trying to blindside kill the LEOs on scene. That means no snipers from a distance or members driving from behind the cops from out of nowhere while they are distracted with the scene at hand.
7) There is a zero tolerance policy for Racism, Bestiality, Erotic Roleplay or Rape RP.
8) At no point are you to exploit or use third party mods/apps in the server.
9) No Fail RP.
10) No Metagaming.
11) If you become incapacitated and have to respawn at any point in time, you must RP your injuries. If you were brought inside of a doctor's office and respawn, you may remember the events that lead up to your incapacitation, within reason (see Guidelines). If your body is not at a hospital / medical clinic before you respawn, you will not remember the immediate events leading up to you being downed.
12) Hostages must be genuine and not be a willing participant with the hostage takers. Both parties will be found at fault if hostages are not genuine.
A player being kidnapped is able not consent to kidnap/hostage rp, but only at the beginning when the kidnappers are trying to take the person.
13) Corruption in roles is not allowed unless the story arc is approved by staff. It is important that any potential corruption brings with it a good and meaningful RP story. Further clarification on the definition of corruption can be found in the Rules Clarification section.
14)No hitman RP is allowed unless you request it and stuff has approved it.
15) You may not steal a wheelchair from any other player.
16) Management has final say in all decisions and can take action without a player report.
RESPECT AND VALUE OF LIFE
RESPECT AND VALUE OF LIFE
1) No KOS (kill on sight) unless it is an agreed-upon between gangs in your respected territory or both parties have made a mutual introduction and understand why combat is occurring.
2) Do not RDM (random death match) or VDM (vehicle deathmatch). You must have a logical reason for killing someone.
3) You must value your character's life and the lives of other characters at all times. Therefore, your character's personality and mannerisms should portray fear when faced with a life threat. For example, if you have a gun pointed at you, put your hands up.
4) Do not harass or disrespect other members or management. Instead, show respect to other players and keep the real-life drama out of roleplay.
5) Do not use derogatory remarks regarding race, national origin, gender, religion, disabilities, or sexual preference.
6) Do not base a character's roleplay around being heavily toxic, aggressive, or discriminatory.
7) You have the right to bear arms inside your home, business, or place of employment. Therefore, you may use deadly force inside your home, business, or place of work if your character's life is at risk. Home and business owners may choose to disallow this at their discretion.
8) Police may ignore hostage-takers' demands while at any police precinct.
9) Do not cop bait, this is when you deliberately do something illegal in front of a cop
ROLEPLAY GUIDELINES
1) Do not attempt to change how someone roleplays their character by forcing your roleplay styles on them. Likewise, please do not attempt to silence someone or talk over them while they are roleplaying. Roleplay is a two-way street, and we are here to create stories with each other, not listen to ourselves speak.
2) Always engage in the roleplay that is taking place around you. Players who ignore other players are committing FailRP.
3) Do not kidnap, rob, or assault EMS or medical staff for any reason.
4) Do not kidnap, rob, or assault reporters while reporting on the scene of a crime/event. Reporters must have video or audio equipment in hand and visible to be eligible for this exemption.
5) Do not kidnap, rob, or assault mechanics when they are on duty inside a shop or towing/repairing a vehicle.
6) Hostages cannot be friends or associates, and they cannot be imaginary or NPCs
7) Do not charge into a hostage situation without the release and safety of any hostages.
8) Do not use plain speech when downed unless EMS inquires about your injuries.
9) Instead, act as if your character has heavy wounds through your character's personality and mannerisms.
10) If your character revives by any method other than a medical staff member or admin, you may not remember who or what killed you or any events that led up to your character's death.
11) Do not return to the place of your death for at least 15 minutes.
12) Do not seek revenge unless it is shared with you by another character through roleplay.
13) You may not kill off your character unless you have cleared it with an admin first.
Requests to not resuscitate (DNR) breaks immersion roleplay for other players.
14) Medical staff and police are not allowed to participate in criminal activity while on or off duty.
15) If you trigger an EMS alert, it is required to wait until EMS arrives on the scene if they have confirmed they are en route.
16) If you are an EMS, do not revive downed players on-scene. Instead, it would be best if you transported downed players to a hospital for treatment
.
17) Only verified civs may impersonate law enforcement officers or medical staff. Please do not wear any clothing items that belong to police or medical staff unless you are permitted to do so.
GANG GUIDELINES
1)All gangs must be verified/whitelisted
2) Do not force people to change the colours of their vehicles, clothing, or hair. You may only use colours to identify your organisation or gang. Only one organisation or gang may identify with an individual colour at a time.
3) Do not chain rob other gang members or target other gang members repeatedly.
4) Gang wars may only start over real roleplay reasons and not the interaction between one individual or based on a player's comment.
5) Gangs should not be overly friendly, soft, or otherwise non-combatant in the event of a conflict or financial reason.
6) Do not brag about gang war outcomes on Twitter or other forms of communication. Scorecards should be kept low-key. For example, do not tell Twitter how many people you have killed or post photos of the aftermath.
7) Gang members may still take non-gang member hostage.
METAGAMING
1) Do not use any out-of-character information to benefit your character.
2) Do not stream snipe. You may not be in another player's live stream while logged in to the server
